Properties

Corrosion Resistance: Excellent resistance to seawater, acids, and alkalis. Strength: Good mechanical properties with high tensile strength. Temperature Resistance: Good performance in temperatures up to around 1,000°F (538°C)

Monel Alloy R-405

Composition

Properties

Machinability: Improved machinability compared to Alloy 400 due to the addition of sulfur. Corrosion Resistance: Similar to Alloy 400, with excellent resistance to seawater and chemical environments. Strength: Maintains similar strength properties to Alloy 400.
