ABS Steel Plate Grades

AB/A: This is a standard grade for ordinary shipbuilding steel, suitable for structural purposes.
AB/D: This grade offers higher strength and is used for more demanding shipbuilding applications.
AB/E: Provides even greater strength and is suitable for high-stress applications.
AB/F: This is the highest strength grade for shipbuilding steel, used in the most critical applications.

Strength Categories

AQ: The highest strength grade in each category.
DQ: High strength, slightly lower than AQ.
EQ: Moderate to high strength, lower than DQ.
FQ: Strongest grade within the various strength categories.

Specific Grades

AB/AH32, AB/AH36, AB/AH40: High-strength steels for hull structures, with increased tensile strength.
AB/DH32, AB/DH36, AB/DH40: High-strength steels for hulls requiring higher toughness and strength.
AB/EH32, AB/EH36, AB/EH40: Higher strength and toughness for demanding applications.

AB/FH32, AB/FH36, AB/FH40: Highest strength and toughness, used in the most severe conditions.
AB/AQ51, AB/AQ56, AB/AQ63, AB/AQ70: Ultra-high-strength steels for extreme conditions.
AB/DQ51, AB/DQ56, AB/DQ63, AB/DQ70: Very high strength, used where extremely high strength is required.
AB/EQ51, AB/EQ56, AB/EQ63: High strength, lower than DQ grades but still significant.
AB/FQ51, AB/FQ56, AB/FQ63, AB/FQ70: Maximum strength for severe applications.
AB/AQ47, AB/DQ47, AB/EQ47, AB/FQ47: High-strength steels, slightly lower than other grades listed.

Additional Notes

AH: High strength and toughness for structural parts.
DH: High strength with good toughness for higher stress applications.
EH: Extra high strength with excellent toughness.
FH: Highest strength with superior toughness for critical applications.
