JIS G3103 is a Japanese industrial standard that specifies the requirements for carbon and low-alloy steel plates used in the manufacture of pressure vessels. These plates are engineered to provide high strength and excellent toughness, ensuring their suitability for high-temperature and high-pressure applications. The JIS G3103 specification includes various grades, each tailored to meet specific performance requirements in demanding operational conditions.



SB410: This grade offers good mechanical properties, including moderate strength and toughness, making it suitable for pressure vessels operating under high temperatures and pressures. It is commonly used in industries such as chemical processing and power generation.
SB450: Known for its higher strength compared to SB410, this grade is designed for more demanding applications. It provides excellent weldability and impact resistance, making it ideal for pressure vessels that must endure severe operational conditions.
SB480: This grade features even greater strength and toughness, suitable for high-stress applications where reliability is critical. It is often utilized in the construction of pressure vessels in the oil and gas sector.



SB450M: An enhanced version of SB450, this grade provides improved toughness and mechanical properties, ensuring better performance in extreme conditions. It is specifically designed for use in more rigorous applications where higher durability is required.
SB480M: This grade represents the highest level of strength within the JIS G3103 series, offering exceptional toughness and mechanical properties. It is suited for the most critical applications in high-pressure and high-temperature environments.
