NFA 36205 is a French standard specification for pressure vessel steel plates designed to handle elevated pressure and temperature conditions. This steel plate standard includes various grades that cater to specific applications such as boilers, pressure vessels, and structural components. The standard defines a range of mechanical properties that ensure the steel plates have the required strength, toughness, and ductility for high-performance applications in demanding environments.

A52 CP, AP, FP: This grade is suitable for high-strength applications requiring improved toughness and durability. The CP (Cold-rolled), AP (Hot-rolled), and FP (Normalized) designations refer to different processing methods that influence the mechanical properties of the steel plate, making it adaptable to various industrial applications.
A48 CP, AP, FP: Known for its good weldability and resistance to stress, this grade is designed for pressure vessels operating under moderately high pressures and temperatures. The different processing designations (CP, AP, FP) offer flexibility in selecting the appropriate steel plate depending on the application’s thermal and mechanical requirements.

A42 CP, AP, FP: This grade is used for moderate pressure applications and provides reliable performance in structural and pressure environments. The CP, AP, and FP processing variants ensure that this steel plate can be tailored for specific use cases.
A37 CP, AP, FP: A lower-strength grade, A37 is used in low-to-moderate pressure environments where the mechanical demands are not as high but where reliable ductility and toughness are still necessary. Like the other grades, the CP, AP, and FP variants allow for customization based on the specific demands of the operating environment.
