EN 10028-6 is a European standard for flat products made of weldable fine grain structural steels in the quenched and tempered condition. These steel plates are designed for use in high-pressure vessels and equipment. The grades covered under this specification offer enhanced toughness and high strength, making them suitable for critical applications in industries such as oil and gas, chemical processing, and power generation.



P335Q, P335QL1, P335QL2, P335QH: These are high-strength steel plates primarily used in pressure vessels. The "Q" stands for quenched and tempered, while the "L" refers to low-temperature toughness. P335QL1 and P335QL2 have higher toughness properties than P335Q. P335QH is designed for specific heat treatment.
P460Q, P460QL1, P460QL2, P460QH: These grades are known for their excellent strength and toughness. The P460 series is suitable for low-temperature applications, with the "QL" grades offering improved performance at sub-zero temperatures.



P500Q, P500QL1, P500QL2, P500QH: Offering a balance of high strength and toughness, these plates are often used in more demanding environments such as offshore platforms. The QL1 and QL2 grades provide better toughness at low temperatures.
P690Q, P690QL1, P690QL2, P690QH: These are some of the highest-strength steel grades in this specification, suitable for very high-pressure applications. They offer excellent weldability along with high tensile strength and toughness, making them ideal for heavy industrial use.
