CCS Steel Plate Grades

CCS/A, CCS/B, CCS/D, CCS/E: Basic strength grades used in shipbuilding, with A being the lowest and E being the highest strength grade.

Strength and Toughness Categories

F: Refers to high-strength grades.
A: Refers to standard-strength grades.
E: Refers to extra-high strength grades.
D: Refers to high strength with additional toughness.

Specific Grades

CCS/A36: Standard strength for general shipbuilding applications.
CCS/A40, CCS/A32, CCS/A420: Higher strength grades within the A category.
CCS/A460, CCS/A500, CCS/A550, CCS/A620: Ultra-high-strength steels for more demanding applications.
CCS/F32, CCS/F36, CCS/F40: High-strength steels with additional toughness.
CCS/F460, CCS/F500, CCS/F550, CCS/F620: Extremely high-strength grades for the most demanding conditions.

CCS/E32, CCS/E36, CCS/E40: Extra-high-strength steels for rigorous applications.
CCS/E420, CCS/E500, CCS/E550, CCS/E620: The highest strength and toughness grades available.
CCS/D32, CCS/D36, CCS/D40: High-strength steels with enhanced toughness.
CCS/D420, CCS/D500, CCS/D550, CCS/D620: High-strength and toughness for severe conditions.
CCS/D690, CCS/E690: Very high-strength steels used in extreme conditions.

Additional Notes

High Strength Grades: Used for hull structures and other parts requiring enhanced strength.
Extra High Strength Grades: For applications where both high strength and toughness are critical.
Toughness Levels: Increased toughness is crucial for ships operating in harsh environments

Grade Description Typical Applications
