JIS G3115 is a Japanese industrial standard that specifies the requirements for hot-rolled steel plates used in the manufacture of pressure vessels. These plates are designed to provide excellent strength, toughness, and weldability, making them suitable for various applications in industries such as chemical processing, oil and gas, and power generation. The JIS G3115 specification includes several grades, each tailored for specific operational environments and conditions.
SPV235: This grade offers moderate strength and good toughness, making it suitable for pressure vessels operating under lower stress and temperature conditions. It is commonly used in applications where reliability and durability are essential.



SPV315: Known for its higher strength than SPV235, this grade is designed for pressure vessels that must withstand increased stress and elevated temperatures. It provides excellent weldability and impact resistance.
SPV355: This grade offers even greater strength and toughness, making it ideal for more demanding applications. It is commonly utilized in industries that require robust pressure vessels capable of enduring harsh conditions.
SPV410: With superior strength compared to the previous grades, SPV410 is suitable for high-pressure applications. It maintains excellent toughness and is often used in the construction of heavy-duty pressure vessels.



SPV450: This grade is designed for extreme conditions, providing high strength and toughness for pressure vessels operating under severe stress. It is commonly employed in industries requiring high-performance materials.
SPV490: The highest strength grade in the JIS G3115 series, SPV490 is engineered for critical applications that demand maximum durability and reliability. It is suitable for very high-pressure environments and severe operational conditions.
